QuickBooks Desktop Pro & Premier
Customers, vendors, items, invoices, bills, payments and journals for small and growing businesses — including industry editions of Premier.
Keep the QuickBooks Desktop file your accountant trusts, and run everything around it on the web: invoicing, purchases, procurement, inventory, fixed assets, HR and payroll, approvals, projects and donor grants. Work from any browser, anywhere, synced two ways with your company file.

Your books stay where they are. The company file keeps running on your office PC or server, and Nakkei keeps it in sync. Your team works online regardless; whenever that PC is on, queued changes land in QuickBooks.
Customers, vendors, items, invoices, bills, payments and journals for small and growing businesses — including industry editions of Premier.
Multiple company files on one server. Nakkei keeps one connection per company file, so each entity syncs on its own.
Accountants keep working in the file they know. Nakkei posts to the ledger and never touches client-data-review features.
Supported with UK regional settings and UK VAT codes respected.
Long-lived installations are supported too. Report pulls use the standard report types both UK editions accept.
A separate sync path for stores running QuickBooks POS, so till sales and stock movements reach the same books.
Approving an invoice, posting a bill or closing a pay run queues it for QuickBooks. Your team never waits on QuickBooks being open.
Approved records are sent to your company file, and changes made in QuickBooks come back into Nakkei, securely and in order.
QuickBooks confirms each record with its own reference. Anything that did not land is flagged with the reason and retried safely.

Staff work only with their own branch's customers, stock, requests and approvals. Head office and finance see every branch, side by side.
Run as many projects as each branch needs, each with its own budget, activities and spend, rolled up by branch and across the company.
Branches become QuickBooks classes and projects become jobs, so head office gets branch and project reports straight from QuickBooks.
Approve expenses, payments and budgets with a signature on screen. Customers sign delivery notes on a phone, staff sign for the assets they're issued, and appraisals are signed by both sides.
Attach receipts, supplier invoices, contracts and delivery notes to any bill, expense or invoice. The figures sync to QuickBooks, and the documents stay one click away in Nakkei, linked to the same QuickBooks reference.
Invoices, statements, purchase orders and payment advice go to customers and suppliers automatically as soon as they're approved, with polite reminders when an invoice falls overdue.

QuickBooks Desktop has no fund accounting. Nakkei owns the fund and grant model — restricted, unrestricted, designated and endowment — and projects it onto the QuickBooks primitives that do work: Class for a fund, Customer:Job for a project, Customer for a funder.
Open the company file, allow integrated applications in Preferences, and take a backup.
Choose your QuickBooks edition and company file in Nakkei’s connection settings.
We set up the secure link to your QuickBooks PC with you, one per company file.
Allow Nakkei to work with the company file when QuickBooks asks.
Run the first pull, review the queue, then switch on pushes when your mapping is agreed.
Pull first, agree the mapping with your accountant, then enable writes — per connection.
Configurable sign-off chains mean nothing reaches QuickBooks until the right people agree.
Rows that came from QuickBooks are read-only in Nakkei; edit them in QuickBooks and they re-sync.
The sync link uses its own generated credentials, separate from staff logins.
All sync traffic runs over HTTPS, so your figures are never sent in the clear.
Every exchange is logged with a full event timeline, ready for your auditor.
QuickBooks Desktop Pro, Premier (including industry editions), Enterprise and Accountant, plus Premier Accountant UK 2019 and Enterprise Solutions UK 2014. A separate path covers QuickBooks Point of Sale.
No. Nakkei gives you the online part without leaving QuickBooks Desktop. Your team works in the browser from anywhere, the company file stays on your own PC or server, and your accountant keeps working in it exactly as before.
Your team can keep working in Nakkei at any time — changes simply queue. The company file needs to be open on the QuickBooks PC for changes to sync, and the queue clears on the next sync.
The change is pulled back into Nakkei on the next sync. Versions are compared, so a record changed on both sides is flagged as a conflict rather than silently overwritten, and deletions are detected by a sweep.
Yes. Set up one connection per company file. Each syncs independently, with its own queue and log.
Multi-branch sync is coming soon. It's being built for exactly that setup: each branch will work in Nakkei with its own users, stores and projects, and everything will sync into the one head-office company file, tagged with the branch's class so QuickBooks can report by branch.
QuickBooks Desktop’s integration carries figures, not files, so the documents stay in Nakkei, linked to the same QuickBooks reference. Your accountant sees the numbers in QuickBooks and opens the receipt, contract or signed note in Nakkei with one click.
Yes. Pushing is off by default, so you can start with read-only pulls. We also recommend rehearsing against a copy of the company file, and Nakkei includes a demo mode that shows the full sync working with no QuickBooks installed.
No. Nakkei is an independent product that integrates with QuickBooks Desktop. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Intuit.
Bring a backup of your QuickBooks Desktop file and we'll show your invoices, bills and stock flowing through Nakkei in a 30-minute session.
